Polar fleece is widely available and shares many of the benefits of organic fleece.

Created in 1973 by the firm now known as Polartec. It is soft, water resistant, and very breathable much like natural fleece, with the addition of being machine washable. For a synthetic fabric, the material is quite environmentally friendly as it can be made entirely from recycled plastic bottles. 

Due to fleece’s fantastic ability as a cover/insulator, it performs beautifully during summer, fall, and winter.  Fleece has a lightweight yet powerful pile allowing for maximum damage control in a fabric.
